<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The stability of metal structures is the most acute issue during operations in the spinal column, and in this regard, it is necessary to search for alternative models to explore the possibilities of their application. The work is based on the determination of the initial forces leading to the displacement of the screw from its initial position inside the vertebrae and their simulators. The study used cadaver vertebrae as well as 3D printed models from various renewable sources. All vertebral samples were analyzed for the ability to securely fix screws in them by means of an automated traction force. As a result, it was found that the synthetic material, consisting of a thermoplastic polymer derived from corn starch, showed the closest stability (retention) characteristics of cortical screws to vertebrae obtained from cadaveric material.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>собаки</kwd><kwd>кадаверный позвонок</kwd><kwd>металлоконструкция</kwd><kwd>моделирование</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>dogs</kwd><kwd>cadaver vertebra</kwd><kwd>metal construction</kwd><kwd>modeling</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Agnello K.A., Kapatkin A.S., Garcia T.C., Hayashi K., Welihozkiy A.T., Stover S.M.
