Study of compensatory growth opportunities in ontogenesis in the incomplete system of cage culture of rainbow trout

Abstract

Compensatory opportunities for intensification of growth in the ontogenesis of rainbow trout under incompletely systemic cage culture were studied. Intensification of growth was stimulated by the nutrition of mixed fodders, the composition of the protein components of the diet, and the multiplicity of feeding. Morphometric growth indices and commercial qualities of fish receiving various recipes of mixed fodder for the fattening period were determined. It was found that the average weight of fish fed the stimulant diet was significantly higher than the control group. The average daily weight gain for the month to month ranged from 1.56 to 2.3g in the control group and from 1.83 to 2.55g in the experimental, with an average daily increase in the body weight for rainbow trout 1.3 -1.5 g. There was an increased intensity of the growth in the stimulating diet group (40% vs. 32%) at the beginning of the growing cycle, and in the middle, the indices remained the same (34% and 26%, respectively); at the end, the intensity of growth decreases (17.8% and 15.3%), but the direction of the trend persists. With the incomplete system of cage culture of rainbow trout in natural reservoirs, compensatory opportunities in the intensity of using the feed ration for the formation of commodity attributes and condition were fully manifested, as evidenced by the dynamics of indicators: exterior measurements, growth and equalization by the mass of the livestock being sold. At the same time, it is noted that; such indicators as the daily average gain of live weight and the equalization of the mass of the sold livestock did not confirm the reliability of the biological essence of growth as the predominant growth of the muscular, bone, connective tissues, and led to hyperemia of the liver, whose relative mass together with the gall bladder almost tripled (from 3.8% to 9.4 %), and the formation of internal fat from 7.0% to 17.7%. These studies suggest that the compensatory capabilities of the genetic potential for rainbow trout growth largely depend not only on the intensity and protein content of feeding, but also on its expression in separate morphofunctional segments under given technological conditions.
